since changing the chainset on my singlespeed, the chain ended up a bit slacker (obviously slightly smaller chain ring)
So how tight is too tight for the chain, I presume there should be a little slack......but how much exactly? It's a slidey dropout with chaintugs.
If it's a deep purple colour at the end...
Till they turn blue?

Stop squeezing it.
When the BB starts moving towards the rear wheel, it's too tight!
If the chain stays on it's tight enough. I only tighten my chain when it falls off.
slack enough so the chain can wobble about 1cm up and down when no load on it.
If you used a superstar rear cog like i did, it'll be tight for half it's rotation, then slack for the 2nd. So just find a happy medium! ๐
But i usually aim for about 1-1.5cm wobble.
If your knuckles are turning white then your doing it wrong.
