Looking at building up a 29er as a race bike for next year, but I want to keep it fairly cheap. I am kind of thinking either santa cruz highball alloy or on one lurcher.

Can anyone advise on the stiffness of the lurcher?

I'd go for the Dirty Harry frame over the Lurcher any day of the week.

Yeah, me too...and they have just reduced them to £449 as per the email I received today!!!

I jest...it's On-One/PX and naturally they don't have any in stock in any size 🙄

Why?

Because the Lurcher is a carbon version of the Scandal, which is a trail/xc/race frame, the Dirty Harry is a race frame first and foremost which is what the op was after.

And my boss has one and they look lush in the flesh and i think that the Lurcher looks wrong, just my opinion though.
