Have Nevegals on my 26 and very happy with them. Will the 29 version be as good or don't they always translate well?

the tire size changes everything - basically they are unrelated.

Just as Al sez, crap 26'er tyres can be awesome for big wheels and vice a versa

29er Nevegal is 2.2 width, & about 860g. I was always a fan on the Nev rear / Blue Groove front combo, but they don't do a 29er version of the Blue Groove. Nev is quite draggy on 29er, & I found it terrible on the front.
Smallblock8 works very simillar to 26" version IMO, & by christ do they roll fast.
