Evening all,
I have a magicshine mj-872 and a smudge xml; amazing combo, loads of flood from the magicshine and the xml spot complements it so well...
my question is batteries... On returning from a ride and the batteries still have charge left in them, should I get home turn them on and let them run out or charge them in their current state.??

Lithium Ion batteries are fine to charge from half capacity.

li-ion should be stored cool and half charged ( or half discharged, depending on how you look at it ), and nimh should be stored warm and fully charged.
