..and more importantly how close is the second nearest?
Today my Rock Lobster is 2ft away and my Bianchi is 3ft away. RL was shrinking so much in the cold that I couldn't put the saddle up.
My own bike is tucked up in the warmth in the dining room at my house about half a mile away. My GFs bike and my loaner bike are in the shed about 20 paces away with two vicious cats guarding them.

About 3ft - in the hall the other side of the wall the sofa sits against - mini-aracer's new Cnoc 14. Second closest is ~8ft away - that's vertically, as it's sitting in the spare bedroom almost straight above my head!
Would have been winning this one a year ago before I got the laptop, given the trainer has a bike sitting on it right in front of the old computer. But that's 15-20ft away, which is probably about equidistant with the rest of the stable in the garage (another 9 to 11, depending on how you count component kits which could be built into bikes and partially built bikes).
Rob - You may think I'm weird, but at least I can make a decision on life without consulting the massed ranks of STW. I find that really weird.

Tazer is behind me a couple of feet away, S&M is upstairs boxed waiting for someone to buy it and my next one is in bits in CRC's and Ex Direct's warehouses awaiting despatch 😛

Most of the bits for my new project are 13 ft away and the chainset is in the kitchen as I was fitting new chanrings and bearings, missus not pleased 🙂
