Is it just me or do you check out the number of posts on a thread before reading the tread title?
My limit is about 25, if there'e more than that I can't be bothered reading them all to get the full story and make sure I don't post/ask something already mentioned. Therefore, invariably I don't even open it.
Is this just being lazy?
Am I missing the point of a forum?
it depends on what it's about, and if it's interesting...
1. oh shite
I also open the threads with pages and pages of replies becuase it generally means that forum members are bitching at each other and can be mildly entertaining on a very slow day..
I'd tend agree, as a general rule the more posts the bigger the arguement...
it depends on whether your friend is being outed as "the only gay in the woods" by another poster. I think it got to 150 posts and I was still pi$$ing myself.
I can't be arsed reading all that!
I can't be arsed reading all that!
+1, can someone summarise what's been said please? 🙂
More than one page and I can't be arsed, unless the thread title is too good to miss!
I always read any thread that's been locked to see what it was all about.
I'd tend agree, as a general rule the more posts the bigger the arguement...
Nonsense just means there's more interest in the thread.
11. Count yourselves lucky I contributed on this one!
not so much number of threads but also the author of the thread
This is first one of yours Ive bothered with 😉
What was the question again.............. 😉
Generally the more replies the more trivial the subject matter of the thread !
tl/dr
I only need 9 more posts and I can ignore my own thread 😉
