There was no way I could ride past this lot and not do something. It made for an interesting and slightly uncomfortable 5 miles home. The sooner this stuff is banned the better.

Is littering a good reason for banning something? Seems draconian to me.

I'm also annoyed by the litter of whippets and would not like to see them banned for on that basis. Can't see any other good argument for banning then either, can you?

I think it's an interesting debate. My bete noire are drive through take aways due to the amount of discarded packaging you find in every car park and lay by within a 2 miles radius. When it is provable that a significant minority of consumers of a particular product can't use it responsibly to the detriment of the community at large and no reasonable method of enforcement is possible and banning it is not life changing to anyone (bar those making a profit from it) why is it draconian to think of the rights and good of the majority rather than the few?

The dog example does not really work - most dog owners are brilliant but because of the few that aren't there are plenty of examples of parks and beeches where they are banned.

Bad news OP - those aren't NoS at all. You can see a pinhole in each of the tops; they're useless now 🙁

I should not have said draconian when I meant disproportionate.

Draconian would be giving litterers of NOS and fast food packaging long prison sentences. Disproportionate would be banning a foodstuff or a benign intoxicant over the litter that is left by some of the consumers.

Either way, at least the trains will run on time though, eh? 😉

Should have lined them up down the inside of his leg, would have looked like a sausage smuggler.

Mister P, well done mate for picking them up. Most people would have just walked past, maybe complained, but not done anything. Have some good karma for Easter 🙂

If I had to choose between harmless, recyclable steel cannisters and say, used needles, I know which one I'd choose.

I don't think whoever left them offered Mr P a choice?

Annoyingly industrial Nos has sulphur mixed in to prevent it bieng abused, such as Nos boost systems on cars. but that obviously wouldn't work for food grade Nos used for catering or medical applications.

Maybe better regulation is required to buy the food grade/pure stuff, I. E. You'd have to be a a registered business and have to buy in larger canisters, or bulk buy it in smaller ones.
