How does it ride uphill, downhill, straight, singletrack, can it keep
up with a bunch of wanna-be-xc`s 🙂 ???

Yup bike can it's whether your legs can or not!! Top bike great for XC in this country (if you;re fit ... being 5ft 4 1/2 the weight is quite hard going for me) and awesome in Morzine!!
if its for xc why drag the extra weight around when a tranceX will suffice
i ride mostly, very tech singletrack, but wondered how it behaved when i once in a while hook up, with the xc.......
i got the old one, way overkill for xc, the old one was fairly tall and fairly long and fairly heavy
i know its not the new one but its stuff worth considering
very good bike though but no xc machine, trance would be better for that
