I have a Giant Trance X and I need to remove the rear shock for servicing. It looks like it should be easy but I want to do it right and not break anything. I've taken out the bolt holding it at the top and unscrewed a cap kind of thing at the bottom on the left hand side but it's not clear what I should be doing next. Any help greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure it's as straight forward as it might be on some other bikes.
