bought some judys and need to identify them for a service.
they are;
mettalic red.
say race on a sticker inside the leg
have IS disc mount and vee bosses.
100 mm travel - sprung.
two black adjusters on the tops of stachions.both the same.
dont think they lockout.
any ideas and any numbers on them that would identify them?

Were not the older Judy DH forks (about 1998) red & 100mm travel? Could it be some of those?

Click IMG and paste in your 'properties' from flickr or wherever you use. Newer RS have a year stamped/forged on the inside of the arch.

2001 was my first inclination, although I'm not sure if the WC 'flashes' weren't added in 2002, trying to think if my 2001 SIDs had them!

Certainly that era.

so ive been googling around abit and found a pic of 2001 judys.they look much older than mine.they have fork boots and mine dont.
they are fire engine red and mine are metalic red/marroon.
the bridge bit is quite small. on mine its large and flattenned quite a lot.

They sound like Judy 100's to me, circa 1999.

Had some on an Orange MsIsle, 99 as that's when XT went 9 speed IIRC.

Oh sorry metallic red, not those then.

its not actually red but metalic MAROON. this may hopfully eliminate the older judy's with shock boots that were painted pillar box red.its not them!
