I'm thinking of selling and have a buyer interested. It's 1 year old. How can I work out what it's worth?

Cheers,

Mick

Yes. Look at ones that have sold on eBay.
If you want to get the most cash if put it on eBay. Prices are crazy right now.

Take the original price & square it. :^)

Nah, usually half things each year is something I've heard before, but in the covid market you could maybe price it a bit higher.

I sold a 2 year old Capra for £200 less than it was new the other week. It did have £400 worth of upgrades on it mind.

Its definitely a sellers market at the moment so put it on higher than you think.

Half each year is a bit pessamistic. I thought half in year one, then about 10% each year was the rule of thumb. Bit of adjustment for desirability and condition.

Edit - blimey! If Ogden's experience is not a huge outlier, times are strange indeed!

Depends on what you are selling, if it’s at the lower end of the market with limited use you’ll likely get your money back, if it’s more specialized / expensive be realistic in price how much did you pay, what upgrades/servicing maintenance have you done, price in a margin as everyone wants to feel they got a discount

You’ll probably get that on eBay at the moment.
