I was there last Sun 24, did Beast & Tawr Du and saw 5 people tops on the trails. Car park busy but not as full as I remember it in previous years.

So, pretty quiet.

Been a few times recently. Car parks have been rammed. Trails have been quiet. Make of that what you will.

I was up in Scotland last week, I can happily advise that Mabie and Kirroughtree were lovely and quiet, Ae a bit busier but still compared to Cannock it was a ghost town, similar to about 7am midweek or 6am on a weekend morning.

Every time I go to CyB despite the car park being full - you seldom see anyone on the trails. I reckon its because we all ride at the same pace pretty much. Also I reckon quite a lot of the riders are weekend warriors and they are all just doing one trail followed by big lunch and then one more trail, in between faffing about. So the actual trails are never ever busy.

Cannock on the other hand always seems busy to me. I reckon its the distance from large population areas. Brechfa is probably empty.

I was at CyB on a Saturday early July and, as @branes says, the car park was full, but we saw very few people on the trails. Same with Glentress a couple of weeks ago. Car park busy, but once you get past the trails within easy reach of the car park, we saw no one. (In fact, we did the GT Black and saw one rider - and he was going the other way...)

Get out, ride and don't lick anyone. 🙂

Cannock, Swinley, Llandegla. Look on a population density map vs trail centres/obvious easy to follow routes and riding to see why they are busy.

I'm convinced half the people that go to Glentress just park their car, have a coffee and stare at each others bikes!

If I could ride Coedy or Brechfa every other weekend I would but sadly the arrival of offspring has put a pretty hard kybosh on such adventures so Swinley it very often is as I either have children in tow or have to be back by a certain time.

If I lived in the Midlands I'd no doubt be saying the same about Cannock.

Every time I go to CyB despite the car park being full – you seldom see anyone on the trails.

Not everyone at CYB is there for the biking - it’s also very popular for their trail-running trails, walking routes, or just people picnicking by the river.

Go to Cannock midweek, it'lI be lovely and quiet.

We were on Friday the 23rd.  Carpark 1/2 full, saw very few people on the trails.  Bit warm mind.
