Anyone know of any nice cycle-friendly hotels in Troyes (or thereabouts) for a stop-over en route to Morzine this summer?

Thanks in advance for any intel.

I have used the hotelF1 there - there is a good cafe in the supermarket - needed as the F1 is miles out of town. F1s have no concierge so you can take your bikes into the room

Could do - thanks for the suggestion. I was hoping for something a bit more picturesque though!

Stopped in Troyes a few years ago on the way back up, it's a dump stay away. Try a bit further down, Dijon (they make the mustard there as well) is pretty and they have some great gites. Google it! 😀

Stopped there last summer.
Stayed at Mister Bed.
Don't think there is anything picturesque there in terms of cycling.

The cheap hotels (Mr. Bed / Formule 1) are a mile or so from the main centre which is worth a walk around - it does have its charm.

We have stayed at the Holiday Inn which is about 5 miles east of Troyes

We stayed here - half timbered, in the old part of town. V characterful, friendly owners, secure parking.
Troyes definatly worth a visit.
