Quick one here, when running Hope Tech X2 brake lever and Shimano SLX shifters what is you're prefered arrangement / configuration on the bars?

Pics may be helpful....

Cheers.

Tech levers I find best on the inside (nearest the stem). So working inwards; grip, shifter, brake.

I tried the other way around, but it just doesn't work for me. There is something on the Hope website with pics to help you decide.

Brakes always inboard, and I've the Tech X2 / SLX combination.

Fit the brake in the position that it is most comfortable and effective, then get the shifter as close as possible to its most comfortable position. The Techs are very much a one-finger brake, so you'll probably find that they'll be clamped almost as far inboard as is possible. Here's mine with an XTR...

Yup, the levers are pretty long so definitely need to be inboard of the shifters. I run my X9 shifters on the Hope matchmaker clamps - absolutely perfect.

Matchmakers are the best solution; not available on SLX as I'm aware though.

Shirley ESP would be the best solution? Not available on, well, anything, though...
