Anyone run a set of new Race x2's on a bigger bike. I have a set on my light bike with 160s and am very happy with them
Currently running tech v2s on my AM bike, used for Gravity Enduro racing, alps trips etc. weighs 30lb
Seen xtr being used on AM bikes, supposedly very good. I tried a set on a loan bike and they were plenty powerful enough with 203 rotors. I didn't like the notchynss and Hubert action mind.
So it got me thinking, would Race x2s, which are supposedly as powerful as xtr, work ok on the am bike?
I think the power would be fine, its heat build up and fade I'm wondering about?
I could run big ice tech rotors, just wondered if anyone ran a similar setup on something burly ish? I call 30lb burly! I weigh 75kg.
They'll be absolutely fine.
You weight the same as me, or maybe even slightly less, and I run Deore M596 brakes with 180/160 rotors on a bike that I'm confident weighs more than 30lb, they're plenty powerful enough and don't fade (I'm using EBC Greenstuff pads for what it's worth, I don't know how much (if any) difference that makes, but they are available for pretty much every brake under the sun).
The Hopes will be easily as good and probably better, especially with big old 203 rotors.
