Disapointingly for some reason my Pro II hub has now gone woefully quiet, went on a rid yeesterday with 2 lads both running pro IIs. Typicaly the ride finished with me having full blown tinnitus and bleading ears from the racket of their hubs!.

The hub looks to be in perfect working order and still buttery smooth, can anyone shed any light on the reason why it has gone so shy ? 😆

Inside your freehub you have a ratchet with 4 pawls on springs which give you the clicky noise. Likely that these are packed with c**p. Need to strip it down and give it a good clean. Video on hope site of how to do it.

Some of the pawl springs could have broken. Each pawl spring that breaks is 25% less noise. If all 4 go, the silence is bliss, but you will be pushing it home 😆

The leaf springs behind the pawls are prone to breaking and lack of noise is the pointer to do something about it.
