I have bust one of my Hope M4 levers so I am thinking of replaceing both levers for the New Tech ones, will they work with the old M4 calipers?

i don`t think the new hope brakes are that good brakes at all. They are really under powered compared to even juicy threes which i run on a singlespeed

18 bikes told me that the tech levers will work with black/gold M4 calipers. Tech lever is a lovely bit of machining, shame they didn't think about shifter compatibility so much.

backhander
i have three sets of Hope brakes mono minis and mono m4 which i really like they are fantastic brakes.I also unfortunatly bought some X2s 1 year ago and i hate them, they just feel rubbish they really lack power.I have bled loads of times and tried various sets of pads and that hasn`t made much difference. My juicy 3s really do work a lot better than my X2

jordie, the OP is asking about M4s. Do you think your input of malfunctioning hopes X2s is helpful mate?
I've had jucies, elixirs and formulas and new (and not so new) hopes and the hopes are by a very long way the better brakes.
Jucies in particular were terrible brakes.

My M4 calipers have the black bore caps so that should mean they should be okay, may need an adapter then for the levers to fit on my bars with my Sram X9 Shifters ( if such a thing exsists). I know they have updated the m4 cylinders for the Tech, may be worth giving the guys at hope a call.

New levers will work with old m4's. Oh! by the way, Tech m4's with 183mm rotors front and back are brilliant.

Thats good because I already have 183 Rotas! Perhaps I will be able to get used to one finger braking at last!
