Hi,
Can anyone recommend a good set of replacement pads for my M4 Evo's?
Cheers.
Er, Hope. The original brakes are supplied with organic pads which are not ideal for UK conditions. The sintered pads have good bite and last well, plus they come with a new bolt and pin
I haven't used them yet, but I ordered 4 pairs of Clarks organic for £20 off crc last night.
I have used clarkes pads in the past (shimano lx brakes) and I found them to be generally good. Sometimes they seemed better than others though, as if the quality varies a bit, but generally they were good. I am going to give them a go again, 4 pairs for £20 is difficult to pass up.
Hope, brilliant comes with pin too.
Superstar - pot luck normally way too thick so like riding in treacle for first 3 days
Ashima - Up there with hope
All the rest - who cares
Hope/Ashima last long enough not to worry about the price as much
I have no complaints with the EBC pads.
if you can get hold of some of the old 4 pot XT sintered pads they're good stoppers.
