I think its a 'Sport' hub, came on a 2004 Orange 5. I've got the bearings off the axle, but the freehub has two bearings and a circlip and spacer inside. the instructions say, drift the the outside bearing out then remove the circlip and then drift the other bearing out. but the inside of the spacer and the 2 bearings are flush and I cant see how I could get any purchase to knock the outboard bearing out and I assume doing them together is a no-no.
What am I missing? definitely beginning to think I should have paid the man.
Knock the spacer to one side? Hit it an an angle from inside and you should be able to displace the spacer enough to knock the bearing out
I'll try it, seems logical, I guess I assumed there was no play
brilliant, thanks TandemJeremy removal completed with only minor blood loss. now for reassembly!
Warm the hub with hot water and freeze the bearings - makes it much easier
