currently with 9mm qr looking to change front to a 20mm front do i just use the adapters or is there more needed not with the bike at the moment
Just the adapters. It's a 2 minute job.
You change the adapters in the wheel. That's it, for the wheel. You;ll have all the gubbins of swapping the forks, like swapping the brake and sorting the alignment etc

Just looked there are two split rings with the adaptors are these needed if so where do they go

The hope bulb hub used split rings to hold the 20mm adapters in place, but the ProII hubs don't. You may have picked up the wrong adapters?
Pull the qr ones out. Put the new 20mm ones in & use a biro tip to push the split ring in place - pro2 evo btw
