Thinking of a week somewhere in Cyprus where i could get away (and leave my ladyfriend sunbathing) for a day or two of challenging mountain biking.
Went to lake garda last year, that was perfect so was thinking Cyprus might work.
Had a couple of days riding with these folk.

Really lovely people, definitely recommend getting in contact with them.
Cyprus has a variety of terrain, it's not the Alps, but it's not too shabby, plenty to keep you on your toes. Nice and quiet up in the hills as well, you won't see that many other mtb's
Excellent thanks.
Gets very hot there in the summer, choose your months well. August is proper scorchio!
I was kitesurfing so cant comment on the biking
Nice friendly place though with some good food too!
heading there in April so should be fine. Think i might go to Lagos now though.... http://www.themountainbikeadventure.com/prices.html
There used to be a few half decent trails, ostensibly walking trails but basically funky singletrack, up in the Troodos, around the Prodromos/Platres area, and the drop down to Caledonia Falls is a good laugh in places. Not sure what they're like these days, but they were lovely when I was helping build and maintain 'em back in '02...
