More of a walk/slog to be honest, we thought there'd be some tracks already through the snow, but we were the first.

Good to get some air in the lungs before hit the beers tho.

It'll give you Puffer entrants an idea of current conditions.

TJ, to be fair to young Cullen Bay, we saw him going round, and later Epicyclo.

It isn't all unrideable...

The bridge of thighs is though

TBH ... the only reason we went around it today was that we expected the hamsters to have flattened it down. I suspect a couple of reasons will have passed by the time we're next on it. Now Evanton Wood on the other hand was ace in minus 9 the other night. There's also been another heavy dump since we got in tho.

Rode the river walk and View rock tonight, they have been compacted down and ride nice, especially in the dark.

Snowing again now here in Muir of Ord ๐Ÿ™‚

Eek! We're worried about getting there. How are the roads?

I've been practicing round East Lothian - today I saw the biggest hail stones I've seen (I'd say 5mm).

Some proper ice: (on the 'Puffer steed with ice spike tyres)...
[img] [/img]

Some proper snow: (on the girly sus bike with gears)...
[img] [/img]

Cheers, al.

If it stays like this it won't be cycling as we know it ๐Ÿ™‚

I'm now going to try it with my Pompino (skinny tyres)

BTW the roads haven't been too bad, but don't expect normal average speeds.

i have a plan B ready aswell TJ [img] [/img]

seriously, we've had another dump of snow in the last few hours, another few inches of snow all the way round the puffer. looks set to be bad conditions, no matter what happens now. if this doesnt melt, then we have the challenge of around 15inches of snow (by now). if it does thaw, and the ground thaws in the next two weeks, then we have MUD. =) its gonna be epic though...
