Guided or self-sufficient?

Driving or flying?

www.bikeverbier.com sounds perfect for what you're after. Dozens, if not hundreds, of satisfied guests frequent this forum and will probably be along soon to sing BV's praises. They're the original bike outfit in Verbier and will get you to trails no one else knows - stunning natural singletrack in big mountain terrain, well away from the crowds. Also great chalet, amazing food, brilliant guides and a super-smooth operation all round. The hosts are spot on, too.

The mountainy bit is quite good.

Not being facecious (SP?), compared to the UK, all the riding is amazing!

Guided or not? White Room do exactly what you're asking for, in/around Les Arcs (with most of their best riding outside of the resort, imo). Can't recommend 'em too highly, done 2 years on the trot and would love to be able to afford a third.
