Hi, Everyone.

My VT2 is 650 miles away and I need to know if some second hand Revs will fit in terms of steerer tube length. The VT2 has the original Manitou Black forks (90-120 mm travel).

Does anyone know if the Revs with 187 steerer will be OK?

Many thanks,

Dom.

Frame size would help

Oops! It's a medium, which I think is either 18 or 18.5"

Yep, it's 18.5". Any ideas as I would love some Revs?

Travel-wise the VT will happily cope with the Revs - my mate had some on. 'fraid I can't help you with the steerer.

Thanks for that. I've got my eye on some but they have a 187mm steerer and I don't want to make an expensive mistake.

OK, no joy here. I know it's an old bike, but it seems a respected one. The other approach is to ask for the head tube length, I suppose. Any thoughts? It's an 18.5" frame.

187mm steerer will be fine on a medium as long as you have a zero stack headset. I ran 195mm on an XL with a spacer or two.

Thanks for that, Doug. I have a zero stack HS so I'll get onto it.
