looking to change my eldest son's bike soon.. he's currently on a 27.5 medium scott scale and were looking to move to a 29er.. But the trek sizings have us confused.. he's 162cm with an inside leg of 75cm.. the online sizings make him an S or an M.. but when we tried some in the shop the other day he was advised an L or M removed link but this seems ridiculous off the trek charts..

anyone on here with a trek and what height are you if you dont mind?

thanks muchly

I'm 180cm on a large Trek Roscoe 9. I don't know my inseam but the bike feels right (standover and reach). I could have probably got away with a M/L too though. XL would be far too long for me.

Not sure if that's of any help!

I'm 5'8", 30" IL and we have a trek marlin in the fleet. Bought 2nd hand for my son as a run around, I thought it was a M/L when we got it. Think it's a M though and I think it's on the small side for me.

My son is taller than me but it's pointless asking him as he'll just, "yeah it's fine" to anything....

I'm basically 6" taller than your lad and sit pretty much in the middle of ML and have an inside leg that puts me on either M or ML No clue why they'd suggest an L, unless they bought too many of them.
