As lot of you know I have asked questions on here in the past and 1 or 2 years later it magically happens.

So I could do with some help from 'locals' in the south.

So do you ride in this area on some cool gravity related trail?

So if the answers is yes then where?
And can you PM me a local contact, trail builder, person how runs the woodland/venue.

Bumping because whatever you've got planned I want to see it happen.

I'm afraid I don't have any suggestions other than the old uk bike park site

Aston Hill ( probably your best bet ) & Chicksands are within the NE area of your map.

Evans RideIT Hatfield also use some long (for Herts) descents.

Broxbourne Woods are (I believe) council owned and may play ball with any scheme which could also perhaps include the lee valley sports village virtually next door.

Do the Woodland Trust ever allow this kind of event on their land ??

So did I :).

I was hoping for a proper xc race closer to soton than the gorricks or bbd.

Any chance of having an xc race (rather than enduro) at qecp? It's a fantastic venue,

A late summer series XC in the south would be good.

Been thinking about venues today and as I drove past it

matterly bowl/basin just outside Winchester

Used for many different things including motorcross and Boomtown music festival. Has also been used for a southern xc race or two I believe. The bowl walls are fairly steep and there is a field above the wooded area that has enough elevation to be similar to head down.

There is also I believe a tikki bar in the woods built for the boomtown festival

FYI froyle quarry is no longer a venue. It's closed for good.

The area on the map already has lots of XC and DH racing. DT78 QECP is the only one so far that is not on the list ๐Ÿ˜‰

Scott greensands bike pqrk near bigglsewade was a thing for a while, there's also tony/Jedi's place at hearts shore, not certain he'd want it as a race venue, but a top bloke none the less, may be worth chatting to

There also surrey hills stuff, hurtwood, are the wisley trails still there ?

That being said id be up for a race following that red outline !
