Hi
Had a crack at servicing my forks (Lower legs) Reba Race RLT 29ers 2009
Service went well pulled down cleaned, popped back together, putting in the correct amount of Fork oil...
Unfortunatly now it sounds like walking in a wet boot / trainer when compressing the Fork.
Squelch squelch squelch...
As i type i realise i placed only 5W oil in the lower legs not the advised 15W. I used the correct amount 5mil... The weight is the only difference I can think of as a diff from the correct instructions...
Any other possible reason for the noise? Air?? incorrect oil ??? any help - pointing and laughing at is welcome..
They are plusher, keep the air and work well... just the sound !
Cheers...
🙄 billy no idea !
When the rebound speed is set slow, they might sound squelchy. What happens if you adjust so that it has full speed rebound? (The red adjuster on the bottom of the right leg wound fully towards the rabbit)
Yer still the same .. just a quicker squish... I will have to try with the correct weight oil me thinks..
Hi,
should be 15ml of oil not 5ml. not sure if you just typed that incorrectly?
you did put the oil in the correct leg didn't you?
Worth a check. left and right get confusing when upside down IME
