I have some shimano M424 pedals which have been on my bike for about 2 years & approx. 1,500 miles. The right hand pedal make a 'clonking' noise at the top of the stroke which is doing my head in & when I've checked there is a shed load of movement on the spindle. I assume that the bearings are kaput.
The question is can I replace the bearings, if yes is it easy to do & what bearings do I need. If not, I suppose it's new pedals time 😥
Any help would be gratefully received - Thanks in advance.

Its usually the plastic collar that wears out you can buy some 520's for £20 and swap over the axles.
