We will be in touch
Hi Folks
A friend of mine has just purchased a Polar CS300 and is having some major problems with it picking up the speed and cadence sensor.
I have used the 700 series and had similar issues but the sensors allowed you to change the jumpers to increase the range. His one has sealed sensors so this option is not available
He is using it on his carbon MTB I don't know if this is relevant, He is also wearing it as a watch and not on the bars.
Has anyone come across this issue? Useful advice would be much appreciated
Thanks in advance
I had a load of problems with my cs200cad finding the cadence signal. For me the problem was a flat battery in the cadence unit.
As it was a sealed unit, only solution was to get a new sensor unit.
I initially thought it was a signal pick up issue, might be worth checking the cadence is giving a signal and if it is it can be picked up at short distance?
"As it was a sealed unit, only solution was to get a new sensor unit"
Or send it to Polar and they will change the unit/battery for free.
My CS400 is on the limit of range on the bars on my (huge) road bike. I just don't think it's the strongest link. Poor show Polar, I say.
IME get the head unit as close to the sensor as possible.
