661 brace is good; I bust an ankle a few years back, and ended up seeing a physio a while later (doctor I saw had been anti-physio, so didn't refer me). He asked what brace I was using and then asked where I'd got it so he could let some of his other clients know.

Are you seeing a physio? If you're not, it sounds like it might not be a bad idea...

Get yourself to a physio for some proprioceptive re trainining.
Wobble boards, balance work etc. Then you hopefully wont need a brace.

I was lucky - all paid for on health insurance/idiot driver's insurance. Think it was £30-35 a session, and I'd probably have paid it myself if I'd had to...

Barefoot, stand on the injured foot and raise the other. You'll have to work the smaller muscles which helps recovery. If that is too easy, close your eyes - that will work the ankle. Also, stand on that leg and throw a tennis ball at the wall and catch it - helps again.

You need a proper recovery from that sort of injury. Go see your doctor and get them to refer you to a physical injury clinic / physio. Using a brace won't get it better.

I have a spare 661 if you want. email me an offer.

I bought 2 when I first came out of my cast as I was wearing them pretty much all the time. I only need one for emergencies now.
