We will be in touch
I recently started building a lightweight canal commuter with a single 36t chainring and standard cassette at the back. Yesterday, on it's maiden voyage, the chain kept jumping off the front chainring on bumps and little jumps. Has anyone got any suggestions for a lightweight, cheap piece of kit that will keep the chain on?. I've shortened the chain as much as I dare.

Also, is your front chainring ramped/pinned (ie is it a normal middlering or a SS specific one?)
middle ring
The n-gear would require a bashring on the outside too. there are fully enclosed guides from e.13 (the XCX) and MRP (1.x) too, but they might be a bit more expensive.
You need an unramped chainring. also shorten the chain on big / big = 2 links
Old front mech?
B.a.nana, do you still have the project2 forks? Email in profile.
