Thinking about the non-MIPS (so way cheaper) version of the Bell Super 2, without chin guard. Anyone got one and care to rate it or warn me off? I want it for general Pennine trail riding all year round, plus Alps/Lakes stuff. Obviously it's all fit dependant. Ta v much.

I've got the super with mips and chin guard and find it very comfortable, ive got a big head and the large fitted very well, I think helmets are a personal thing with the shape of your noodle.

Got the MIPS one. Due to the size and shape of my head I only fit Giro, Specialized and Bell lids. Trashed 2 Spesh Ambush lids which seem a bit fragile and got the Bell. Bombproof and a nice fit - a little more secure than the Spesh which used to wobble a bit. Yes it's a bit hot and in my case as the non-MIPS one was a bit baggy the MIPS one fits more snugly. Definitely recommend if it fits. And if you can physically pay for the MIPS one why wouldn't you?

I found my large Super pretty comfy, but then got an A1 (xl-xxl) and it's far far more comfortable, if slightly sweatier.

Love mine, v comfy on my big head, stays cool (gets a bit warm with the chinny chin chin on, but that's irrelevant as you want the chinless one)
