I have just joined STW and would like to introduce myself!

I am 40, live in Lincoln and ride a Santa Cruz Heckler.

I ride mostly in the Peak District but occasionally visit the Welsh/Scottish trail centres.

I ride with a couple of guys from UK-MTB.com but would be happy to ride with some new people!

What's your position on the "artistic" uses of an octopus?

do you use rock to "mend" your bike.

Do you have any of the following, a single speed, gaggia classic coffee maker, a fast Skoda estate, a DX light......................

Welcome

If you are not gnarly enough to overtake DH boy in inners riding a fixed Xbike while picking your nose you're out of here ๐Ÿ˜‰
Welcome to the world of non-sense.

Providing you don't drive an audi, you'll fit in fine.

Hi SBrock & welcome! I was christened in the crypt at Lincoln Cathedral some 43 years ago but have been lost to Jesus 'cos I do go over to the Darkside on occasions (Campagnolo equipped 531 in royal blue if yer interested!) Haven't been back to Lincolnshire much since 'cos I live near Dartmoor which is flat enough for my liking ๐Ÿ˜‰ How about posting up a photo or two of yer bike so we can assess the state of your garden ๐Ÿ˜‰

be careful with that, you had better jet wash the drive/paint the fence before any photo posting nonsense................... be warned

These have a main purpose in life, do you know what it is? And it's nothing to do with bikes.

Your outer chainring looks very worn.

Hmm, no dirt on the bike, tyre logos and valves line up, matching 'bling' hubs and spacers.

Should fit right in, welcome!

Look, he even washed his A3 TDI!

Dude, the downhills in Lincoln must be proper gnarl to the power of rad to require a stem that short and hardcore!

Welcome to the madness ๐Ÿ™‚

BTW you need some weed killer ๐Ÿ˜‰

Is it the done thing to crash another poster's thread?

Thought I'd post here given the thread title. I've just posted an ad but thought it rude not to introduce myself properly. I'm also new to STW though I've bought the mag often enough. Anyway, I ride a tiny Ti Airborne Mosquito hardtail around the Peaks. If work's web censor permits I'll get a pic up shortly.

Just post a pic of your bike and see what happens. Good luck!

Thanks for all the replys!

The pic was my bike just after i finished building her, though only the frame, forks & rubber were new. A year on she is still looking good!

The short stem is how I like it as i love riding the gnarly bits of the dark peak - the riding is totally shite round here, wouldnt be too bad on an xc HT but it bores me to death!

Alex will take you up on your offer, I get plenty of time off in the week as I work shifts!

Rims are DIRTY. Paint on floor, and logos and valves are not lined up.

Shoot the man.
