Where is the best place to get one, like real ale and proper pubs.
Ta,Ian
Stubbing is good - also Old Gate on Market St (main road just before the bridge) is newly renovated and has an excellent selection of beers (both British and Belgian) and a seating area at the front where bikes will be ok.
The Stubbings is very MTB friendly, with a good selection of beers. Their Timothy Taylors Landlord was very good!! They also have a large car park, so you can park, ride, have a beer, then go!! The pubs in Hebden Bridge Town Centre are nice, but parking options very limited.
Shoulder of Mutton in the town square does real ales and food.
Had a pint in the shoulder on Saturday, not bad. Market St car park just round the corner.
The Old Gate is a new, no expense spared food and drink place.
Nice, if a bit soulless. Has some good beers on.
Shoulder of Mutton is overpriced and a bit depressing.
Stubbins is nice & friendly, you can sit by the canal if you like.
Fox & Goose is a proper, scruffy, real ale pub with a beer garden.
Smells of dogs & the regulars.
The dogs smell nicer.
Well worth popping in for a pint, if you like that kind of thing.
The Railway was ok before it was flooded out.
White Swan is alright, cheap food & lots of pensioners.
White Hart is expensive & a bit up itself.
The Trades Club is good, next to the Post Office.
Gig venue & social club. Very, very Hebden.
You're supposed to be a member, but they'll let you in if you ask nicely.
