Wante to replace the headset on my 2005 Kona Caldera (currently has Ball bearings).
There seems to be a lot of different sized headset around...any advice on sourcing the correct one?
Im swapping the forks too from the original Marzocchi EXR to some Recons i've just taken off my 2009 trek - shouldn't be any problem there should there? Forks are both 1-1/8".
Your headset size will be 1-1/8. The web's your oyster...
I have looked....honest - but some seem to give an Outside Diameter size as well - do I need to know this?
Not particularly.
If your fork steerer is already cut-down and you have little or no headset spacers then a quick measurement of the stack height would be prudent before purchase but other than that, it really is a matter of how much you want to spend.
