Anyone else have issues when trying to copy and paste the body of an ad into the For Sale forum?
Wrote out an ad for a bike I'm selling on FaceyB and have just tried to copy the text into a new FS thread here, but every time I hit post it will only display the first 100 characters or so.
Any ideas?!?!
What program or app are you writing the text on? A lot of them (eg MS Word) will have all kinds of formatting that can screw up paste. If you're on a PC, type the text in Notepad - or if you have it elsewhere, paste it into Notepad first, then re-copy it.
Doing everything on a phone & iPad. Tried copying into notebook first but it doesn't seem to matter.
I'll just post it from a proper computer tomorrow.
Do you have an ampersand or some other special character in the description?
Wheels & tyres for example
That displays OK when submitted but is truncated in the Preview view.
Aye, right enough actually. Looks like I'd tried to copy in a sad emoji from facebook (like a simpleton) Got it all sorted now, thanks!
