[Closed] Shipping your own bike back from the US - any experience?

I'm heading to the US next month, travelling around the Midwest and Colorado. Really want to cycle when I'm CO, but the amount of internal flights mean I don't really want to bring the bike bag as A) it's so expensive and B) I probably only have a couple of days to ride.
So I'm looking at getting the bike shipped over and back, can anyone recommend any shippers? You won't get charged duty if it's clearly a well used bike, will I?

All help gratefully received!

Why not use a cardboard bike box?

Could you hire a bike instead?

I might be a load less hassle

I had a mate collect mine and bring it back from the states for me as he was in the area for work anyway

Freight it to your final destination?
If the internal flights are booked through an airline that doesn't charge a stupid bike fee then you fly on their T&C (print a copy out)

Though for 2 days hire something nice.

We hired in the states for a couple of days.

Nice bikes were not expensive.
