Just read this this story and apparently Grinton has been hit by floods and the bridge over the Swale at Grinton has collapsed. The picture is taken from pretty much where they are isn't it?

Gobsmacked just gobsmacked.. amazing how quick and high the flood water came and how fast it went. In the space of 15minutes it went from no water around the buildings to 2 foot deep. At 5:30pm I was wading around thigh deep in water then by 7:30 it's gone, amazing. Thanks for all your well wishes folks, it's not too bad, we built the place with flooding in mind but lots of lessons learnt for next time
Bugger. Hope they get sorted quickly.
The graph here shows how scarily quickly the water rose at Grinton Bridge and exceed the previous highest ever recorded height - http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/homeandleisure/floods/riverlevels/120701.aspx?stationId=8089
