I know the older models were very blingy but used to be a bit iffy in terms of longevity. Has anyone tried the newer hubs as part of the rather lovely and light complete no tubes wheelsets?
Have a pair of 29ers built bt JRA, ZTR Hubs and Arch rims, theyt are sweet after 18minth of quite hard riding, bearings feel smoother than my Hope.
I've got 26" Crests on ZTR,built by JRA,nearly 12 months of heavy (14st)riding,bearings still smooth, rims not dented at atll, and still true.

I've got 26" Crests on ZTR,built by JRA,nearly 12 months of (14st)riding,rims not dented at all,and still true. But changed the bearings in the rear after what I thought wasn't a lot of use - but it was quick & cheap.

Also bought a set of Superstar Switch hubs on ZTR Crest just after Xmas & these have been excellent - have need no attention at all. £229 with tape, valves & sealent.
Last night I swapped these to the GF's bike & fitted a set of Hope ProII/ZTR 355 to mine so weighed them - The Superstar wheelset is a few grams lighter & the hub is mutli axle use too.
