As above... I'm considering saving myself 50 pounds or so and servicing my 07 talas forks myself. IS it easy? Ive got a little walkthrough that came with the ****est mag ever - MBR, and it looks quite easy.

Any advice for if i do go ahead?

Cheers, Andy

I did a set of vanillas - very simple.

If you an get a guide and work methodically it wont be hard

make sure you have spare seals just in case you ding them up during the service. I did first time round and had them off the bike for 2 weeks waiting for newies...

Have a look here - http://reviews.mtbr.com/blog/category/diy/

You'll probably need to be logged in to see it though

Just don't mess with Talas leg. They can be a pain to set up properly (if you don't the travel all goes to pot) and you really need the correct tool for recharging the negative chamber which is about as common as rocking horse sh1t. Otherwise no probs .

Also search the Fox site, there are some very detailed and colourful service instructions buried in the tech sections.
