Going to visit the padres in April and thought I might get out on a bike to see the hills. Brother reports there are some nice trails out there (that he walked).
Anyone know any local trails and can point them out?

There,s a bike shop in Calpe that hires bikes. THere are lots of trails but in 21 years of climbing in that area this was the first time I saw any MTB's.
Looks like there's a bike hire place in Javea. I'll have my local scouts go check it out.

The bike is a 29er Rockhopper SL. My first experience of a 29er and it's quite favourable, specially for the rocky terrain.
The cheeky descent back into Javea was rocky, great fun, unrideable in parts and hell on the shins. They have some particularly sharp thorny bushes here!
