Anyone local? I'm staying here in my caravan for work and wanted to bring a bike down

ย

Despite expanses of fields and countryside there seems to absolutely nothing apart from road and driving around the area, even the country lanes don't seem pleasant enough to bring the gravel down for some road riding. I haven't spotted a single bridleway. The ebike 'might' be an option to venture further afield.

Strava and Komoot show very little. There looks to be a few routes from the Leamington Spa area, but it means driving.

ย

Saw a group of MTB'ers on HT's when I went for a pint in Bishops Tatchbrook, so wouldn't imagine they were riding just roadย

Its about 3 miles from Harbury to Leamington spa - why would you need to drive? isnt that what a bike ride is for?

There's loads of bridleways in the area, and the free mini bike park at Newbold Comyn, which is about 7 miles away.ย

If you want to ride on the road there are heaps of quiet country lanes, just aim and ride.

I suppose I'm just used to the route Google takes me in the truck - not particularly nice roads being on the M40 corridor. Guess there may be country lane routes?

Will have a better look then. Don't really want to ride much road if I can help it

I used to live in Harbury. I live in Leamington now.

There isn't much gnar to shred it's true, but there are loads of bridleways and generally pretty pleasant routes to ride.

You can do quite a nice route from Harbury up to Burton Dassett hills. I do it now and again, but from Leamington with Harbury along the route. It's a mixture of bridleways and little lanes. Probably perfect gravel biking.

As mentioned, Newbold Comyn bikepark is behind my house, and is a good blast. A few of the bridleways you've to watch as HSPoo has royally ****** the area up in places but yeah, plenty of pleasant xc bimbling.

If you want me to send you any routes on a gpx I'm sure I can do that.
