After toying with the idea of building a shed parts bin SS HT, or even SS'ing my Handjob, I thought heck it's my birthday, why not pool all funds inc. paypal etc and get a proper one.
So I picked up this about 2 hours ago.

Didn't really fancy the idea of rigid forks on the dusty summer trails and I had a set of Toras in the shed, so on they went (set at 100mm - max warrantied on frame) and I also changed the Mountain kings for Mud X's - nice and fast XC tyres that actually grip things too you knows 😀
Off on the first ride tonight round the local woods.

I reckon I can get a 29er wheel in the rigid fork though as it;s massive, might try one in winter times

I needed cash to pay for an MOT so the first one went. Then I needed cash to buy a sensible family car so the second one had to go along with my road bike. I have no car related expense on the horizon so it might be third time lucky!

Couldn't be bothered building one in the end 😀 Shouldn't be too hard, did a quick 1.5 hours out tonight and had to walk a couple of climbs though, not bad for my first effort sans gears.

It's only slightly pointing down, first ride adjustments to position were required all round 😆
Great bike. Love mine. The chain adjusters are rubbish though so lube them up or replace them quick before they seize.
There's a nice bit of grease on there already from the shop.
Geometry on the IO is exceptional - ideal for twisty singletrack.
IMO the bronze is not as good looking as the lime green IO - but the bronze is probably quicker and less prone to offs !

Funny, my IO didn't stay rigid for long either! Second the comments about how nippy it is on twisty singletrack - great for the local 'squirrel' trails!
