I hang my bikes by the seat from hooks in the ceiling of my garage to free up floor space, but after fitting a Rockshox Reverb I'm not sure whether it will damage it, even if I have it fully extended. Anyone know the answer?

You are not supposed to pull on the saddle with a reverb (although plenty of people do without experiencing a problem), apparently it can damage some seals. If you can, I would hang via the wheel.

Can you extend the hook with chain so it hooks under your top tube at the seat tube junction or suttin?

A friend of mine kept a couple of my bikes in his garage whilst I moved house. I went to pick them up and saw he had hung the one up with a reverb up by the saddle. Inside I was gutted as he had had the bikes for about 6 weeks. I didn't say anything as he was doing me a favour.
Anyway it has been fine and has done nearly three years sterling service since.

I wouldn't do it myself but as long as its fully extended when you hang it you may be ok if its your only option.

Fully extended, it is against an internal mechanical stop, I'd expect no issues whatsoever.

I leave mine hanging from the saddle nose on the workstand all the time.

It's pulling up when extended, against the hydro circuit, that can cause issues.
