Evening.
Last year my riding buddy was severely injured in a motorbike accident which resulted in him having to spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair. He got out of hospital just before Christmas is making a phenominal recovery - mentally (I know I'd never be as strong as he is).
Anyway, he desperately misses cycling and he's been looking at handcycles, like this.
Only thing is, they cost several thousand quid. Obviously he'd like to hire one so he can try it out before handing over the cash. So, my question to the STW massive is:
Does anyone know of anywhere that sells handcycles that have a Try-Before-You-Buy??
In the meantime, I'm taking him to a 4-wheel cross downhill taster day at Whinlatter Forest. I can tell he'll want one of these as well 😀 :
You would get seriously big arms and shoulders using one of those hand cycles.
The 4 wheel cross things look wicked.
He's desperate to get out again, he really misses his bike. Broke my heart when he asked to sell it for him.

I know that bloke knows a thing or two about hand cycles (pro racer).
If you were to email him he could probably offer advice.
Extremely nice bloke and whilst I dont think he can tell you where to test ride Im sure he can offer some suggestions.
Thanks chaps.
That's a great help.
