Does anyone use one and if so with what bike? I have a few choices of bike I can use but they all have really thing seat tubes and the Hamax book says the tube must be 28mm-40mm diameter, I'm assuming something that takes a 27.2m seat tube will therefore be ok but I was just wondering if the clamp is still solid at that diameter... I have the choice of a Cotic Soul Mk1, a Specialised Allez or a Charge plug.
27.2mm seat tube or seat post? A 27.2mm seatpost will fit into a seat tube c. 30mm so well within what Hamax recommend. A 27.2mm seat tube means you must be running a very skinny seatpost (no modern MTB and certainly none you've listed would be that size).
We've fitted Caress seats to MTBs with skinny steel frames running 27.2 posts and they work well. It's a great product.
27.2mm seatpost not tube, thanks for the help, looks like I'll be ok using all three bikes.
Yes, you'll be good to go. Enjoy!
Will be fine. We have one on an old Inbred with same seat tube. Tis ace.
Do you need to use a rear mudguard with it or are they fine to use without one?
