Converting my gravel wheels to tubeless....

Didn't read the max pressure.....

Face washed, showered and still picking bits of sealant off my arms while the gentle ringing in my ears subsides....

Follow the instructions kids

soooooo easy to do.  On my Stans rims the max is about half what I used to run with tubes and they are much better for it now on tubeless

Yeah man technology sucks.

I put on my tubeless tyres, poured the sealant in, aired them up with a compressor, shaked the wheels a bit, and put them back in my bike. Haven't touched them the last few months, only to change the pressure.

So much hassle right?

Were they tubeless / tubeless ready tyres? And what pressure were you using? Just wondering, I'm routinely running 60psi in TR Schwalbe G-Ones on Crest 29ers fwiw.

40mm g ones on dt rims, went up to 80 to seat and seal a couple of little holes.... Back on now

Oh the entertainment over the years that's been had with that photo Flashy...!

As the last dying specks of the internet fade at the end of time, that picture will be the one flickering briefly before the screens go dark.

I finally got around to going tubeless on the road bike earlier today. Took 2 attempts to get the tyre beads seated (compressor) but then they went up no issues. Sealant in and ready to roll. Might need to play around with the pressure a bit as they're considerably lower than they were with tubes in.

I'm running  g-ones (35) at 36/33 psi on Grail rims.

All perfect. But lose air more than mtb.

Tyre not seating = soapy water, put a tube in first, air compressor etc.

Small leaks = more shaking.

More air pressure is not the fix...

Don't worry done more than I can count, just thought I had more pressure to go. Just to give them longer to seal before going down.

I did the same couple of weeks ago, blue sealant and glitter all over the fridge and dryer. Still finding it now, Mrs unhappy.

Yet another reason to skip the glitter

Shouldn't really matter; on occasion I've had to go way over the max PSI to get tight tyres to seat fully but it is a case of nudging the pressure up slowly and giving the beads time to move before increasing again (as above soapy water is a massive help).

My tip would be don't put the sealant in until both beads are fully seated and you're just pumping up to riding pressure!
