I’ve checked all the usual suspects- I’m after a 1x XT.
Is there any actual difference between XT and SLX these days?

I've got a 1x grouoset I'm about to sell. Approx 10 rides use. 1 x xt. Xt cranks chain and cassette 11-46t 32t narrow wide. Xt shifter and xtr mech. I'd like £250 for it.

Can get me on

The only difference between XT and SLX as far as I can tell when riding is plastic triggers.
My SLX with Sunrace cassette is fabby, it's definately into diminishing returns territory.

There’s been muttering for a while that XT has become a trophy group while SLX gets real efforts because it’s expected to turn up in more hotly contested ranges of bike.

similar observations on cyclingtips podcast about Ultegra and Dura Ace road groups; they take so long to get DA to market after developing and announcing it (like over a year for the current group) that the new Ultegra doesn't just have 'trickle down' DA tech, it's benefited from additional developments.

Ref the OP, Merlin seem to have regular "extra 10% off Shimano/groupsets" so worth a look?

I think higher range shifters are worth it. They have a nicer action and I think have multiple release in both levers (where I think slx only has it on down shifts). The rest of the bits I can't see the point.
