Beautiful warm day here in Central France. A good crew turned up for the Wednesday afternoon training bash. There was about 15 of us. We rattled down the deserted roads from Rochechouart to Montbron, passing one of the highest points in the Haute Vienne, before racing back up through St Mathieu then Vayres before the final descent and 8km run in back along the valley road. It was fast, it was fun, there was rivalry, but conviviality also. A great ride.

Anyone else out?

What'd'yer mean you "have" to work? ๐Ÿ˜‰

I'm still hoping to be in the Limousin for Easter, it better stay warm! No road riding for me though, trails are too much fun, especially the new ones you're going to show me ๐Ÿ˜‰

I was out this morning - too early for the initial tailwind, too late to avoid the return headwind.

*is tired*

*and very unfit*

well I was out but offorad, not on.

took an extended lunch - 19 miles, 2 hours 2100ft of climbing on the Downs near Brighton, sunny skies, warm and pretty much dry. Was great ๐Ÿ™‚

Tough act to follow with those photos Doug.

Just had a couple of hours round the woods. Beautiful sunny day here in southern England, but felt cream-crackered from road ride yesterday still.

Lovely being out though...

You can cycle on roads?! Having a break in the sun before plunging back into the woods near Brighton:

Yes, a few final miles of prep for the tour of Flanders, I've worked harder than when I was racing to get fit and its just beginning to come good.

LOL

I've made the mistake of stripping down the race bike, the race cross bike, the fun cross bike, the audax bike and the vintage road bike all at the same time ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Doug, you almost met me coming the other way! Got a bit of a virus, so couldn't face 100km on the road, thought I'd work on the old skilz on Ulia instead. In the end, spent the afternoon flat out on the sofa looking at blue skies ๐Ÿ™
Probably better in the long run, although doesn't feel like it looking at those photos!

Me being a writer right now means I can choose when to ride and try and fit in with what little sun there is, but spring is definitely coming I can feel it ๐Ÿ™‚

Found myself working in Leatherhead for a few weeks so have managed to get out around Boxhill, Headley etc a few times, hope they sort the road surfaces out before the Olympics next year.

Just got back from cymcarn.
Sweaty climbs. Dusty descents. Deckchairs and a cold beer between laps.
Great day to close the shop.

Nothing that exciting, but went out for a blast around Richmond Park after work today. Was nice to be out in the sun. Saw quite a lot of other riders out too - maybe some from here? A guy on an orange Orange Five, one on a Spesh FSR, one on a retro-tastic turquoise blue HT (though I went past too fast to see what the frame was)...

Lovely evening for it.

Gorgeous evening sunshine at Castlerigg stone circle ๐Ÿ™‚

Bob, it was meant to be a quick blast, half there and half on Jaizkibel with the ferry to link them but I sort of got the smell of beer in San Sebastian and kept on going! Hope you're better soon.

Cheers Cha****ng, sunny England looks pretty nice too!
