I am starting to think i am extremely unlucky on rides. Every ride i go on something breaks. Today i clean snapped off my seat from the post. Luckily for me i was not too far from my LBS 'All Terrain'. Unlucky for me i left my wallet at home. But thanks to the kind people at All Terrain they GAVE, YES GAVE! me a new seat post and fixed it all up for me. They did explain that it was from a second hand bike but still to get if for free was nothing short of amazing service.

So once all the thank you's where done i set off on my way. Only to hit the first climb with a big bang and my knee smashing in to the bars. BLOODY FREE HUB gone. so a second visit to All Terrain was on the cards. I armed myself with Muffins to say thanks for seat post and in preparation for some begging to get the mechanics to have a look at the free hub asap ( got a lakes ride on sunday). Once again great service was on the cards. 5 mins latter i presented with a broken free hub and a diagnosis. Bad news no free hubs in stock. Good news if you need to borrow a wheel i have one out back until the parts come in. With my luck, breaking things, i declined and decided to use a wheel off a old bike i have.

BIG THANKS ALL TERRAIN!!!!

Well done- glad someone has.

There is a porky troll with piercing's who works there and has the worst attitude I've ever experienced in retail. He must have litle man syndrome.

I bought some tyres off the net and rung up to check they had in stock before I set off to collect- I turned up and the aformentiomed troll was next to no help and said he didn't know where they were and just walked off. I waited 20mins thinking they were still looking. How naive am I - he just walked upto me and asked why I was still there. To say I kicked off is an understatement.

I've been down numerous times and asked for parts - basic bits like lube/power links etc for the young girl to just look at me and say that she didn't know what I was asking for and that the other staff were on breaks.

I've had mixed experiences with them, but there are much better shops not to far away, just on the other side of the hill.

Think that's your problem. I lived a 10 min walk away from Terrain and wanted some goods - but they were cheaper on the net. Asked if I could collect them straight from the store - they save postage, I get cheaper goods and was told they were different businesses, so won't do it. So I have to pay more to get them from my local shop. They aren't alone in this so I'm not picking on them, many others are the same, but the explanation on their ads is that some prices in store may be different. If by some they mean all then they are right. So unless I'm in a total rush, I'm clearly not going to pay more for my goods than someone who lives hundreds of miles away. I appreciate they are a business but they are the ones who moved to big premises from Crosshills.

Never had anything other than good service from there. And I've had poor service from shops towards leeds in the kirkstall region especially. Nope nothing but good feelings here.

That will be the bosses' daughter. I was surprised to find her serving one weekend, as I taught her Outdoor Pursuits in Harrogate. She was a good little climber, but didn't know much about bikes.
Now, ask her about horses...
